What’s your favorite time of day?
My favorite time of day lately has been first thing in the morning. Having quit the grind of nursing management and getting up at 0430 every day, life is commencing at a slower pace.
Waking up, there is no rush. . .
Coffee followed by stretching on the yoga mat.
Kisses and conversation with the husband.
Walking out to check the weather, check the water level on the pool, view the vista of the hills and mountains.
Then the slippers come off and the pajamas pants get rolled up. Barefoot, I go to the garden to water the beds, pull the weeds, check the growth of the veggies and talk to God.

We always say, the day isn’t over until you’ve learned something new. The other morning, I asked, “What are those black bugs flying low over the lawn? They look like wasps!”
I was finally able to capture a photo of one that had landed momentarily. These little beauties look for grass grub tunnels and lay their eggs on the grub after stinging it to give the larvae a food source. They don’t sting humans or pets. The good news is they are great pest control, the bad news is if you have a lot of them you have a grub problem. 😂
Sitting on the back veranda, drinking our coffee, we also like to watch the hummingbirds flit from feeder to feeder. I had found the feeders in the house and put them together never having seen a hummingbird on the property. Just this morning, we’ve had several visitors to both feeders.
Here’s to beautiful mornings for everyone!
